A slowly growing page of C/A challenges, probably crappy, but there ya go, heh, plus other peeps' challenges I like the premise of. [WIP]...Have to admit to not liking the portrayal of Slut/Pro/PornStar/preg/mum/Vamp Cordelia in my challenges. Call me daft/tunnel visioned or whatever, but no matter how JW/ME trashed her character and turned her into some kind of desperate-for-a-shag nympho-whatever Couplet onwards, to me, I figured that Cordelia's first and last real full sexual experience beyond teen groping was the Wilson incident. and I can't write/read fics where C is preg or a mum (probably because C/A never even got as far as a first time in cannon- and any pregnancies were mystical/tainted/evil) -But that only goes for my challenges, so if you like the Cordy-portrayals I don't then you won't want to bother with these.
The reason a lot of my challenges are so detailed is, to be honest, they were originally outlines of fics I was going to write myself- all that extra detail can be ignored if wanted, as I know that too much can often hinder a writer's own creative juices - so please feel free to cut out any stuff you don't want to use- the premise is more than enough, lol.
The Don't make me move you' scene.
This is an angsty challenge. Serial or standalone
What if...
Cordy refused to move and so Angel shifted her abruptly, but, not too roughly, to one side.
Unforunately, Cordy, is as usual wearing high heels and one of them catches on the phonebook Angel threw to the floor.
She loses her balance and falls sideways. Wes can only watch helplessly from his wheelchair, as it's so sudden, and Angel is turned away reaching for the book.
He hears her yelp but her temple connects sickeningly with the edge of a desk before he can catch her.
Musts:
THIS knocks Angel out of his funk (read epipheny) and although he didnt push her( it was an accident), it devastates him.
I want Wes, even grudgingly, assuring Angel it was an accident too, btw. No spite towards Angel from the AI gang (although usual comments on his beigey behaviour up to this scene are a given, lol).
*The blow to her head knocks her out cold.
* At the hospital, the doctors reveal her ongoing visits there, commenting on how the blow is detremental to an already damaged brain (visions)- so both Wes/Angel find out that way.(also Gunn)
*Angel does a lot of soul searching and realises his deeply hidden feelings towards Cordy (duh! C/A, lol)
*Cordy is unconscious throughout and Angel ends up confronting the (new) Oracles, who tell him there is no hope for Cordy; she will die without ever waking up as soon as one more vision hits her.
*Angel makes a deal- his shanshu for Cordy's life.
*The oracles are agog at that. reminding him of what a high price it is.
**Angel must say to them : "Where Cordelia is concerned, no price is too high. Do it"
*They agree- but before he is sent away, the female oracle does a cryptic saying "For what you have sacrificed, another reward will take it's place." or words along those lines.
He finds out at one point in the fic (via Lorne) that the reward is a permanent soul. It seems the Powers are concerned the Champions human feelings will put his soul in jeopardy- they don't want Aus back.
Ending either where Cordy wakes up and they talk/sort stuff out/don't/impasse - or the fic continues to a smutty ending, lol. Whatever rocks your boat (or fits into the story line)

I would prefer it that Cordy still retains the visions, but her mystically repaired brain is now immune to damage. NO demonizing. (and no Darla boink, lol)

SEASON ONE. SANCTUARY
In the police Station where Buffy let Angel have it with both barrels, throwing Riley in Angel's face.
That part always made me so angry, and it showed just what a bitch Buffy could be, plus the convo b/t them was very enlightening. And when he followed her to apologise...well, that pissed me off like you wouldn't believe.
Now, there is a way to turn this round to a C/A piece- and why not?!
Wes joins Angel once Buffy leaves.
Can it be that he overheard the conversation and Angel tells him of his decision to go after her.
I want Wes to question his decision. pointing out how Angel could, after all fluffy said, go running after her to apologise for HER behaviour?
Does he love her that much? Angel doesnt reply- mainly because, on being asked outright, it made him wonder; did he? in fact, did he love her any more?
That convo showed him a side he'd always ignored in the past, and he hadn't liked it. in fact had found it and her distastful, actually wondering what he saw in her in the first place. Gratitude, that's what.
Wes goes on to say... You chase afer her like a puppy after you supposedly hurt her feelings, yet a girl who has stood by you for a long time gets injured and you rarely give her a second look/thought.
Does it even occur to him where Cordleia has been? make it two days as I can't recall how long it was. All I know was that she wasnt around.
Angel realises sickly that he hadn't given it another thought when first she'd been hurt by Faith and then when she told him she was taking paid leave.
Wes informs him that she hasn't left her apartment since and her injury is slow to heal, being human and all, hit by a powerful Slayer.
He suggests Angel get his priorities straight and leaves him alone with his thoughts.
What does Angel do?
Does he ignore that and still go to see Buffy, or does he rethink and pull out his thoughts and feelings on the brunette, which gears him to action? He has pushed Cordelia aside twice since she's been with him in LA; first with Buffy when he became human for a day, and then when he decided Faith needed him more.
Does he wonder belatedly why the loyal, caring brunette is still around?
I would love a sweet, and hopefully hot conclusion to this fic. Would anyone feel like doing it for me? *flutters eyelashes*

#Pointless smut- plot-what-plot? Curse smursh!
The shell bikini ep! Angel looked pole axed when she removed her bathrobe [noticed how all my challenges involve smut? *snerk*].
After his chat with the guys, he can't stop thinking about her attributes etc, seeing her in a totally new light [NO PYLEA, as this is a ficlet].
Things to be in it:
Angel Ordering Cordy not to do shoots like that again, saying it is demeaning. Her giving him the finger [literally], and G/W sniggering behind him.
Cordy arranging yet another shoot just to get back at him. He finds out after she's left and goes charging after her.
Drags her kicking and screaming out of the shoot clad only in a tiny red bikini, having to take the sewers [sun's out].
Now I'll leave it there, and you decide where it goes next.

Post Hero. ATS S1
Doyle dies and in a wild moment, C/A make love...next day, Cordelia acts like nothing happened between them, even though he found out he was the first.[curse? Nope; how you get rid of it is up to you.] Angel is confused about his feelings; almost obsessed with that night cos it meant a hell of a lot more than he thought it would… and finds himself getting more and more annoyed and angry by her refusal to even mention it, never mind discuss it, as if it never even took place.
He starts trying to bring it up, but she always changes the subject or finds an excuse to have to leave quick smart.
Cordy, meantime, feels bad about what happened- in her insecure mind she lost her virginity to a man in love with another, and it hurts her inside b/c she has feelings for him and was wowed by their night. He was so tender yet sensual and 'manly', [lol].
Angel knows he made it good for her, and his enjoyment of that night surpassed any other he could remember- even with Buffy. He wants more. He wants her; and not just for xmas, lol.
Angel puts on his sly hat and decides not to bring it up again, but uses every underhand trick in the book to get her to admit her feelings; innocent touches, sitting too close, in her personal bubble...subtle innuendo- then the vision thing happens.
As in cannon, she tries kissing everyone, and when she kisses Angel, he gets really into it. She pulls away and asks him if he felt anything, but before he can answer or take it further, she does the pissed off thing about the vision, outwardly angry but inwardly reeling from his response…and hers. Then Wes turns up and Angel witnesses her kissing him......!!?????? Eye thing happens and this makes him realise just how precious she is to him and he could lose her any time, and this gives him the ooomph to go after what he wants.

This is a payback smut fic!
Willow resouled Angel without the Happy Clause, [for the fic it will be needed ] but B/A haven't tried it out yet, b/c she is still smarting over Aus, and he is secretly smarting about being sent to Hell for a few hundred years, and resents her 'overkill'.
But he is being his usual quiet, in-the-background self, and letting himself be treated like he was before; seen and not heard, and a sidekick for Buff.
Buffy does a real pushy routine on Angel in the library, witnessed by the others, and he takes it without a word.
Cordelia mutters "I bet she dominates him in the bedroom too - what a total lapdog!" with a snigger.
Angel overhears her and is inexplicably angry that the gorgeous brunette questions his 'abilities' as a red-blooded male.[yup; Angel isn't blind, but until now, he's had other things on his mind!]
All he can think of is proving to her just how 'dominating' and hot he can be!
How he manages it is up to you
- but Cordelia secretly has the hots for him, and actually feels annoyed at Buffy always belittling him; but that night, she'd had enough of the way W/X seem to be looking at each other, and the way X ignored her.

#BTVS 3- to ATS S1#
AU- as in, first of all, W put his Soul back without the happiness clause -Willow didnt tell Buff at the time cos of what had happened re: Hell- and when he came back, she felt it was her right as a caring friend not to tell her b/c she was worried that it would only lead to more heartache for Buffy in the future [Slayers premature life span, plus the Immortal thing with A-yada yada], and she didn't think he was good for her friend either.
As it was, Angel didn't just leave b/c of the curse [didn't know anyway what W had done], but b/c he'd realised after they'd split up [Lovers Walk] that things were wrong besides the limitations of the curse...
1: they never Talked- unless it was about slaying,
2: her stubborn refusal to accept his Vampire side [and the fact that he WAS Aus without the Soul- that just gave him a 'conscience'] ...
3:cringing openly at the sight of his natural face [except for that one time at the rink], and face pulling/disgust when she'd realised he'd drunk blood just prior to kisses.
4: never trying to draw him into group chats- unless about slaying, and
5: her subconscious yearning for him to be human- by accidentally opening drapes in the day....etc
To continue in LA:
1:IWRY not happening the way it did in the show...Buffy's reaction being "Thank God you aren't a Vampire anymore! - I hated that showing her natural aversion, as a Slayer to vampires] so no sickly smut, instead Angel spent the day with C/D beaching it, etc- but his reasons for giving it up still to do with worse things coming yada yada!
2:Willow finally rings him up to tell him [after B gets back to SD & gets with Riley].
He doesn't leave for the same reasons; Cordy. He tells C/W, but Cordy is oblivious to his changing feelings [well, duh!] and Angel sits back unsure anyway]
Then comes 'Expecting'-- Angel doesn't take her dates with Wilson well when he finds out she's been seeing him for 2 weeks on the quiet- and follows them. Cordy catches him, goes straight home w/o returning to Wilson after having a fit in the street/alley with Angel, and too upset to continue her date; so no impregnation.
During the argument Angel gets a little hot and heavy with Cordy, letting his innate and usually hidden demon sensuality and possessiveness out big time[something he'd never done with B]and she's stunned at her response- and confused- and truly angry, stalking off.
After that it's up to you how you end it. Smutty [as usual, cos I'm a smutslut!]
#ATS S2- AU on Touched#
Remember when that redhead [Bethany] appeared in his room?
Well, what if, he's having that dream, and Cordy hears him moaning...she goes up and shakes his shoulder [Darla sneaks out of the hotel this time tho]
He is still all over the place and gets confused.
He flips her under him and starts the biz, getting really into it - so does she! In his semi-dream state, he keeps getting flashes of Cordy's face and body intermixed with Darla's and in his dreams he gets pissed when Darla's face/body takes over each time.
He actually growls Darla's name in annoyance - but Cordy thinks he's imagining she is his Sire. But it has now got to a point where she's as into it as Angel is, and he's penetrated - then wakes up!
He is so stunned when he realises it's real - and Cordy is torn between passionately responding but also freaking out in case he gets the big O' - and getting upset with the thought that it wasn't her he wanted, and is pushing at him, even though her traitorous body wants to continue.
For a few moments he continues, and doesn't WANT to stop - but seeing the fear as well as passion in her eyes finally makes him wrench away.
He shoots in the bathroom to get back his control [and stop himself from going back in there and finishing what was more than started.]
In the meantime, Cordy grabs her clothes feeling horrified by what happened and dresses frantically as she makes her escape.
Optional continued storyline
The period/filler between ... both still in shock that it happened, and not knowing how they are gonna deal with the fallout, obviously though. Both realising in a shot of light that the feelings of love/lust where already there, under the surface. But Cordy is really hurt over his DARLA calling, and is determined to pass it off. Angel, on the other hand, doesn't realise he said that name, and wants to explore the possibility of some kind of relationship with Cordy. Now he can't get her out of his head. He makes a decision to go see the Conduit and state his case
They get all cryptic saying something on the line of what is lost in the first count, will be gained on the second count
Next day, Cordy talks herself into going to work. She avoids being alone with Angel, sticking by the others, and even disappearing out for lunch for a couple of hours.
When she gets back, she finds that W/G have gone on a regular paying client case. She goes to leave, but Angel makes his move.
They talk, and then they argue. She throws the Darla thing in his face, and before he can explain, she goads him by saying she has too much respect in herself to have His Sire's 'sloppy, used seconds'! Things get heated and emotions run high in both of them, and they end up back in his room and finishing what they started; they do the deed....and Aus makes an appearance!
Cordy attempts to flee, and gets caught. She waits for him to kill her,; even says 'what are you waiting for: do it!' Aus laughs and says basically, that he's wanted to do things to that body since he tackled her to the ground in SD, and he wanted some fun b/f killing her.
Major Aus raunch...then he finally comes, biting her in a mixture of sexual pleasureand the decision to turn her - before he gets to the point of no return, his soul returns... she's weak but alive, and ... how you wanna do it.
But afterwards he realises what the Conduit meant, and that finally he has what he wants - a permanent soul ...but does he have Cordy????
S1 [Pre-Expecting] Challenge:
....Cordelia gets invited to a fancy dress party [pre-Expecting] and out comes the kitty costume Angel just never appreciated the first time round, what with something blonde in his eye!
Due to a vision/late finish, Cordelia has to change at the office, and Angel feels the beast within roar...[and he doesn't much like the glint in Wes' eye either! grrrr.
Would like smut, but optional.
Drama ensues...
Remember when Angel walked in on Wes/Cordy playing out the tragic B/A in early S3? What if, say, Angel had sneaked up behind W/C. Wes saw him, and Angel flicked his head, silently telling Wes to move, and took over? Cordy, is unaware and says the line "bite me!" Angel morphs and shocks Cordy by whispering "be glad to" and superficially grazes her throat with his fangs in for a moment as she turns her head in shock. Then he walks away silently.
Cordy feels really bad about doing something she belatedly realises was obiously painful for Angel, thus forgiving his reaction. She knew her growing feelings for him hadn't helped, and there was a touch of bitterness in her playacting. And, to be honest, she had been really hurt and downhearted when he'd took off for so long. it solidified her belief that he would never get over the Slayer.
She waits until Fred is in bed and W leaves before going up to confront him.
She apologises and then says she didn't understands why he did what he did but to forget it. Angel surprises her by saying that no, he didn't want either of them to forget it. Walking in to find W/C play acting his time with Buffy had hurt his feelings and made him angry, and he asks her why. Cordy throws it back by instead asking why he went as far as breaking the skin on her throat.... what happens next?
*The Curse was removed as a thank you from the Monks at the Monastary, and Angel had returned with his feelings for Buffy settled and compartmentalised as a fond memory, but with the realisation that he'd made a mistake walking away from Cordelia for three months, when it dawned that his feelings had developed into much more.
Season 3 -Jealous Angel ficGroo still turns up, but it pans out a whole lot better [in other words, Cordy doesn't have a dramatic, ooc 180 degree turn & doesn't take him home [he ends up staying at the hotel] and although enjoying the attention, feels no attraction for the Pylean Warrior [fairytale mindset when stuck in Pylea]; Angel doesn't know this and realises the pro's and Cons of being a possessive, jealous and demanding vampire.
S5 Challenge
Set pre- Life's a Party, cos I hate the A/E ick. Cordy wakes up and finds a whole new world since she 'left'. Her last memory is telling Skip to demonize her after seeing Crazy!Angel in Birthday, totally unaware that although her soul hadn't returned, something else had in her place with her memories and a new occupant. The beginning of the end.
No hotel, no baby Connor; Angel almost a stranger running the business of the very firm that made their lives a misery. Wes much darker and a little cool, Gunn this lawyer guy she doesn't recognise, Lorne slowly becoming a drunk and Fred a shadow of herself, wearing thigh high skirts and running an 'evil lab'.
Also she finds that W & H are behind anchoring Angel's soul and thinks this is why he has betrayed their mission "So he can boff to his hearts content" even asking him if he's gotten groiny with this Eve that she instincively mistrusts. he denies this vehemently, shocked that Cor would think he would be swayed so easily- and that he'd go man-ho-ing around, but can't tell her why he was really there, refusing to answer questions about Connor too, simply informing her that he had been adopted and was now with a 'normal' family. That hurts and she doesnt ask again. What the hell is going on?
Angel has the shock of his life when he finds out just where her memories of them ended, and it puts a whole new light on everything that happened afterwards. He'd hoped that she wouldn't recall the Jasmine possession, but this... Groo, Connor, the Ascension and more; realising just what a blind fool he'd been. As soon as Jasmine had revealed herself within Cordelia's body, Angel had instantly pushed aside any resentments for his Seer. But this news notched up his guilt.
Unable to deal with it, he closes off and goes back to the S1 way of dealing with the fiery brunette, leaving Cordy angry and hurt. He refuses to let her join the firm- even though she has already stated that would be like her accepting Jimmy Choo rip-offs- a big fat no no. Stuck with the visions [that weren't killing her after all,] and suffering the same pain as before, Cordy is ordered to pass the details on to Wes, and just 'relax'.
Cordy being Cordy, refuses and instead takes an interest in Spike, who seems to be wandering just as aimlessly. they gravitate towards each other and form a wierd friendship; their similar temperaments/personalities complementing each other- and Angel has to watch powerless to stop it.
Eventually, Spike offers to take on her visions and, once Angel weakens enough to obtain her old apartment [with Dennis, yay!] for her, after her refusing to stay at his Penthouse any longer,they continue in secret.
Angel finds out about Spike taking care of the visions. This is a catalyst. What happens next? Happy ending please.
I have started writing a fic loosely based on my own hcalleng: Faint Heart. (16/?)
WARNING! verry long [as i said, it was a draft for a fic i was going to do myself]
I've tried to section it a bit with a mixture of Bold and Normal, to make it a bit easier to read [hope that works?]
Challenge No2:
Set after BTVSfinale/ATS finale.
. A month has gone by, and the FG have got into a rather isolated routine.- Angel seemingly cut off from the others, and regressing back to serious 'Beigey'.
. Spike turns up- and he turns out to be like a Vampire DayWalker; can move around unharmed in the Sun, and still has a Soul. A/S angst over the B word, and Spike having to comment that Angelus would have loved the power at Angel's fingertips- plus, as I said, loads of angst and head-butting.
. Cordelia wakens from her coma, despite the underhand attempts of W&H to stop it. I would prefer that she hasn't been 'present' since she first 'ascended'. What happened and why is up to whoever takes it on.
. The first meeting between C/A is strained and angsty, with Angel left with the knowledge that it wasn't Cordy throughout [also only from 'Ascension- not what Skip led him to believe re: timeline.] Cordy knows about the B/A fest, and Angel doesn't deny it, or even try to explain. he's seriously confused and thinks B is what he wants [sorry to make you gag, but I'm getting there, LOL!]
. C/A avoid each other after that, which is easy, as they both agreed she could move back into the hotel- after Cordy saying she'd rather have her teeth pulled out with a dirty blunt knife than have anything to do with W & H [it hasn't come out yet that they kept her in a forced comatised state since she first began to awake a week after Angel passed her into their care] that can come out whenever you like].
Whether A visited her room in that month is up to you.
.Shortly after taking over W & H, Wes finds a book on Gypsy Soul curses, and finds a soul- binding 'patch' [lol! a little pc talk there!!]. He discusses it with Angel, who agrees to it to be safe from W & H possibly bringing Angelus out to play.[ As he's not letting them tell him how to run the place, etc-- also no soul contract in the offer with W & H, b/f I 4get]
.Buffy turns up, and agrees to stay till she makes up her mind whether to stay permanently, or go to Cleveland to Slay again over there.
. She's completely shocked to find Spike there, and the way he now is.
.But she turns to Angel for comfort. [I'm leaving that there until I've covered some more stuff, as it isn't the 'comfort' it sounds!]
.Cordy and Spike [who has no time for W & H either] form a bond- friendship and maybe a few kissing experiments. Cordy still has the visions, [though without the pain. no other demon abilities whatsover!] and turns to Spike to help her with them. Feeling that Angel has turned his back on the Mission.
. Spike moves into the hotel when Buffy makes it clear that she wants Angel- angsty please. Angel is really pissed about that, but fools himself into believing he's worried about his 'friend' Cordy! He finds himself visiting frequently and unexpectantly 'checking up on them'.
Angel not happy at all to find Cordy tending Spike's battle wounds; Cordy hasn't been out with the fG since she awoke, and he doesn't get the 'benefits' of her tender ministrations!
. Back to the 'comfort'. Kisses and hugs, but both feel nothing special, although they won't admit it to each other or themselves. Buffy is just as pissed as A about S/C sharing a roof, and visits quite a bit too.
A/B have 'almost sex' but he can't get it up, and she's secretly relieved. They both agree 'it's too soon', slowly realising they don't have that much in common.- Angel finds himself having no probs 'standing to attention' when he sees/thinks of Cordy tho!!!!
. A/B stumble across S/C fighting the 'good' fight, and this is when A finds out C is still having the visions- and has turned to Spike! Be as angsty as you like between C/A about this! Spike just rubs his face in it- a lot!
Must have a C/A ending with lots of smutty goodness and declaraions of love.
. Does S end up with B? Do they up sticks and go to Cleveland together? Up to you.- but B HAS to leave L.A.
I envision major angst and unpleasantness [remember 'beigey A- and 'take no shit' Cordy] with Spike stirring like mad when he picks up on A's jealousy re: C
Plus lots of dirty down passionate smut-[cos I'm a SmutHound, LOL!] then tender lovin' at the end!- added: by dirty down smut i mean A clinching C quite a few time- but only heavy kissing to almost sex until the smoochy end.

"Were we in love?" My challenge is, change the ending to this!!!! In STB, i was soooo angry that Angel copped out again!!!
Elements:
-Angel not only admits they were, BUT also lies and says they had a hot sexlife too, and were a couple!- but that it was a secret cos Gunn has a crush and they didnt want to upset him.
-Cordy calls him up on it, and, as she fancies this tall dark stranger, thinks "What the hell! At least i can enjoy it!"
-Angel is guilty about lying, and worried about it backfiring, but stubbornly decides to go through with it cos he feel he HAS to play to win!
Hysterical convos between C/G where she takes things he says wrong and overeacts.
Angel slipping up now and again, and Cordy getting suspicious! [him being a little TOO eager for smut that he's supposedly had; so Cordy holds off the full whammoo for most of the fic! And, secretly feeling like a bastard, he doesn't push.
The ultimate smut [lol] doesnt get had until AFTER her memory returns [but lots of smoochys and groping!],
Cordy not only intefered by saving his Destiny, she also secured his Soul to stop anyone tampering with it, for the Mission.
A/W are out on a case and Gunn finally clocks on and puts her straight- the enormity of what Angel has sunk to stuns her so much, Cordy's memory returns!
She's torn between being chuffed at the Angel-loving-, but thinks he deserves some major torture for lying to try to get some! [angst moments please!]
Hope this is more palatable to peeps!

"I did say that there wasn't to be any consumation through it till the end- that he would slowly warm her heart, etc... but the last bit DID say he finally took advantage of her b/f she regained her memory- and that's why I wiped it.
I was seeing it as fairly drawn out, where she's learning more about this dark handesome stranger that she's drawn to so much, and he regretting saying the 'sexlife' thing -but not having the guts to retract his claim...and that's why he doesn't push it when she starts getting suspicious of his overly amorous advances. Thus their relationship blossoms AS IF IT'S NEW!
The Gunn/Cordy thing I thought would be hysterical, as innocent things he says, and friendly touches are misconstrued by her...and she's sorta backpeddelling and at the same time, tring not to hurt his 'tender' feelings.
As said, when one of these convo's ends up with Gunn clocking on what is happening, and spilling the beans, the shock that he lied to her causes her memory to return [shocks have been known too-BUT NO JASMINE!!]

His explanation is that he panicked; and thought she'd leave him- but that that was why he didnt push her into anything more that [hot heavy] smooching & stuff...
Set S2 after Epiphany [AU- no pylea!]
Don't want the clothes bribe working. [I know the clothes thing has been done that way, but I'm sure its okay to use?]
There is major subtext and sexual tension through most of it, where Angel is slowly starting to question his reactions to anything to do with Cordy [dating, - you think of some....?] and how he becomes more aware of her as time goes by.
Cordy is still angry and wary of him. Angel alternates between trying to appease her and getting pissed off with her.
Gradually the possessiveness/jealousy cant be ignored when she starts dating a guy on a regular basis, and he finds himself stalking them on her dates- relieved to find out it hasnt gone beyond kissing.Though that pisses him off too![naturally! ]
Cordy is also questioning her response to Angel. She too finds herself covering hot responses with anger. Tension spirals.
She's with a great guy, but keeps putting off more than kissing, and gradually doesnt want to do that any more.
Feelings get gradually higher, and Angel can't help but snark at Cordy, and making up any excuse to touch her. Cordy is even more annoyed/angry, wondering why Angel's suddenly being so mean [breaking up her dates cos of 'work needing to be done' (him finding things for her to do!), and why all the touchy all the time lately??
Plus, he's insisting she needs to 'toughen up' and says he will train her.
The training has to be a daily occurrance. He pushes her really hard, and this builds resentment.
Cordy's argument is that she's only human, and he expects too much- but he retaliates by saying that that is WHY she has to train twice as hard.
It would be good if this was a serial fic.
POINTS:
The Darla experience bound his Soul. [PTB interference yada yada b/c they don't want Aus back.
He's told Wes about this- feeling it important to ease the concern of worries off Aus after his dark time.
Cordy overhears A/W talking about this halfway through the fic, and feels even more hurt that something so important wasnt shared. Telling herself the hurt is due completely to the seriousness/worry of the threat of Soul lossage - and NOT b/c of other things [Yeah right! sorta moment.]
This causes even more angst between them!
Her apartment floods [plumbing prob] and she has to move into the hotel for a while.
How you write smut [or don't] is up to the writer. I would like hotttt moments [never! ] but how much or how little is up to whoever writes it!

Set: S1 C/A first meeting on ATS [Taming of the Shrew roughly based]
When Angel finally did meet Cordelia again at the party, he was genuinely taken with her. later, when he saved her, and offered her a job she reluctantly accepted out of need. She frowns; he finds it challenging. She calls him an ass and a coldhearted Demon; he calls her a real woman with fire that he wants to burn in. She remembers what he was like post-vamp in Sunneydale and thinks he's a loser.
When Cordelia rails to Doyle about her dislike for the Vamp, Angel merely shrugs his shoulders and tells doyle that regardless of her feelings, he would have her. He takes over her life, and makes sure she loses the 'hovel' she's living in, forcing her to have to accept his hospitality and stay with him.
Doyle drunkenly consoles Angel saying, "I think you are gonna find you have lumbered yerself with a shrew" But Angel disagrees, and wagers a hundred dollars that his Cordelia would obey his command to come to him and do whatever he wishes by the end of the following week...
make of it what you will, heehee, anyone interested?
A continuation of Billy: [fics done similar to this before, I know]
Billy touches Angel at the airport [remember?] and he, as he does in the ep, says it hasnt affected him.
Later that night, after F/W/G is sorted out and Angel is alone, he starts feeling the affects of the touch - but, being a Vamp, it affects him differently. It brings his restained sexuality and secret lust for Cordy to the fore.
All he can think about is Cordy, who's at home by now - alone. He ends up ringing her and saying Fred won't settle [i'm not sure where she was after the incident that night, but let's say she's at the hotel]
He's lying, but he REALLY needs to see her: When she sounds rather reluctant [tired], he feels irrationally angry, and that she's teasing him - but he manages to talk her into it [emotional blackmail] without her picking up on his strangeness.
Fred has been sedated, so no chance of even an earthquake waking her up.
Cordy arrives..... Smut ensues... and the rest is up to you - Angst, mild angst - very dark - not so dark, good resolution. mutual feelings revealed by the end.
all I ask, is that by dawn, the affect wears off, and because it was an outside influence, he doesnt lose his soul.

Darla doesn't turn up in Reprise at the end- Cordy does.
she has a blurry vision of Angel, and although not clear of what it means, his emptiness in it scares the shit out of her. All she can make out is the ring- and that she assumes she has to take it from the vampire.
She turns up at the same moment that Darla did in Reprise. He glances over his shoulder and sees her looking at the ring- Cordy tells him she has to take it; vision. Angel drops it the same as in Reprise- and the same scene [but obviously diff dialogue to a degree] plays out after-
BUT
Hoping for more pov’s/thoughts, and not so rough Angel [throwing a human through glass doors is a no no, but I'm sure you can improvise, lol] Obviously Dark- a heavy R/N-17. Angel was empty and cold at this stage. Although Darla was all for it after the initial struggle, it was still rape...it is intention, regardless of whether or not acquiescence is given any way thru it.
Alternate ending- no soul lossage, but only due to his realising just what he was doing just before he came. Happy ending?...eventually, gah! or have as a filler b/f epiphany- Cordy runs out and the next time he sees her is as he did in Cannon [with obvious diffs cos of what happened.]
This was a quick thought, and hope it makes sense.

It was taken up by someone, but sadly dropped. Not everyone feels comfortable writing a none-con dark fic.
S2 Angel seduction of Cordy challenge.
This was one I was gonna do myself- that's why it has a lot of content besides premise. I would like the content I outlined, but at the end of the day it is up to the writer what they think would or wouldn't work for them.
I know ones like this have been done before, but the urge to see this done is still there. Apologies if I've stepped on some other challenger/writers toes.
Set about a month after Epiphany with all that happened, but no Harmony and no clothes bribe. He still does the crawling, but she stops the major snark for peace in the workplace.
Cordy isn't so abrasive with Angel, but treats him more like a work colleague/acquaintence- Best Friend vibe seriously lacking. No more evening invites at her apartment or going near his rooms either.
Angel is far from happy with this, but grateful she at least talks to him without hostility now.
The main idea of this challenge is that Angel overhears her talking to Wes in the office, and she is bemoaning the fact that she hasn't had a date since the whole Wilson nightmare and she is beginning to feel unattractive – "hell, look at you guys; I could wear a skirt cut to my ass and you two wouldn't notice."
Wes shuffles his feet explaining it is difficult as himself and Gunn see her more as a little sister than a potential love interest- and points out there are three of them, not two. "Angel doesn't count- besides being a no-bone, he wouldn't even be last on a list of a million guys."
Cos he's a vampire? Wes asks. Cordy shakes her head saying that doesn't come into it- but as he hasn't had a good track record for treating her with respect, plus no way would she settle for 2nd best- and there is the curse, hello? "I'm desperate for a social life, not bloodcurdling torture followed by slow-coming death!"
Wes drops that Angel had told him his soul had been secure since his epiphany. Inwardly hurt that she wasn't put into the loop, Cordelia instant comments, "Well, how dandy for him- surprised I haven't seen a line of blondes in and out of here- or" then it occurs to her about his tragic love, and out loud to Wes wonders why he's still with them.
She admits to considering Gunn, but says now she knows he sees her in a sibling manner, it would be 'kinda' ewwe. Angel's gets growly just at the thought.
Then she goes on to say she is 'getting out there, starting tonight' and on the lookout for a man to love and love her in return.
Angel doesn't like the sound of that, and realises it is because he is jealous [no thinking he is just being protective, b/c that has been done], and goes on a campaign to win over and seduce Cordelia Chase.
I was gonna go for lots of failed attempts, be them either hilarious or angsty- whatever [or both] how you deal with her potential dates is up to the writer.
It can be PG-15 up to N-17.
Buffy death and how Angel deals, Challenge. Beginning S3
We all know Angel sodded off for three months to mourn the loss of Buffy. I never liked that fact he went for so long- especially when he afterward admitted it didn't hit him as hard as he thought it would. Plus the lack of grieving Cordelia later got in S4/5 - So I wanna change it.
Yes, he goes- but once there, he realises he misses the gang a lot more than he thought he would- especially his Seer, Cordy, realising too that he'd more of less abandoned them and cut them off so soon after the last time. So he decides to return to LA two weeks later [his realisation that he'd moved on making him aware that he'd rather grieve for her death surrounded by his friends- also admitting to himself he'd more or less pushed Cordy away the night Willow had arrived, recalling the hurt look on her face, belatedly, as she'd attempted to console him- as best friends do!]
He gets back, and doesn't get the reception he thought he'd get- they are more surprised to see him back, and Cordy is rather cool towards him due to his thoughtless treatment of her/them just before he left- leaving a note instead of telling them first.
How does he deal with his grief around his family, and how does he put things right between himself and Cordy- letting her know without just words how important she really is to him.
Whatdoya think? I would love a mix of Dork/Dark/and sometimes brooding/stoic-guy.

S2
Instead of Wes finding Angel naked downstairs [S2] after his hallucination with Darla, it is Cordy that finds him. Cordy that Angel pins to the floor and who he opens his eyes to. Still turned on, and thinking his sleeping mind has replaced Darla with the woman he really yearns for , Angel lets it take over his senses and goes for it.
The shock of realising it isn't still a dream is when Cordy struggles and yells at him and then rushes out.
When he next gets her alone, Cordy is blushy and uncomfortable with him, and reacts by making excuses to be somewhere when he admits that it was her he was dreaming about. But the shock at what he'd almost done causes Angel to finally inform the others of his sleep walking and hallucinations. They get to the bottom of it; by which time Darla has gone insane and killed herself. They deal with Lindsay/Lilah. In the meantime Angel has taken Wes to one side to asked that he find a spell to alter his curse. a week of two after Darla/W &H shennanigans are over, Wes informs him of a spell, and it is done in secret at Angel's request.
All through this, Cordy pushes everything down and acts as if nothing has changed between them. What happens once Angel's soul is secure? What plans does Angel have to declare his love and get Cordelia to do the same? He isn't shy of using his body and natural charisma to get what he wants either, slowly seducing her and driving her crazy. Obviously N-17!
Just because some challenges are done, please don’t let it stop you taking any if you are at all interested.
