He tasted of vanilla and regrets.
That’s when I knew I’d made the right decision.
Oh, it broke my heart to leave all I knew behind; but it was for the best. Played my part and dredged up the Cordelia they all knew and seemed to prefer.
Pooh-poohed the major trauma that took me to the point I am now, and they seemed… relieved that I did so.
My hints fell on deaf ears. How many ways can I say ‘I love you’ before the hint is picked up? Returned even? Thinks I don’t know what went on when my mind and body gave up on me.
A day, a week, and I’ll be a faint memory. Someone to be dredged up when something similar occurs.
As I touch my mouth with the tips of my fingers, one sentence rolls through my mind and refuses to leave:
Angel tasted of vanilla and regrets.
